Jabber Sign In (Windows)

Before you begin

The first time you run Jabber, you have to enter some basic information.  First, ensure that you have the following information available:

1. Your Jabber Username, this is provided to you from telecom
2. Your Jabber password.  You should have followed the steps to set your Jabber password from the default password telecom set for you.  You can find those instructions here if you have not done so already: How to change your Jabber password – UCLA Extension (zendesk.com)

Signing In

When ready, launch Jabber app by clicking on the icon in your start menu or typing in the search box "Jabber".  You should see the following:

Enter your provided username @ucla.edu and click continue, then enter your password and click "Sign In"

The application should now launch.  Subsequent logons will not prompt for you to log in so be sure to store your password in a password vault. 

If you have any difficulty contact the helpdesk and they can work with telecom to get your login fixed.
